Sharon D. Johnson, PhD is a writer/scholar who engages literature, the arts, popular culture, and religion/spirituality through the lens of depth psychology and African American historical experience. Dr. Johnson is certified in Lector ministry, has 25 years experience as a widely published journalist, and is a produced television writer and member of the Writers Guild of America, West, Inc. since 1993. She has been a frequent media commentator discussing diversity issues. Dr. Johnson holds a B.A. in the Program in the Arts from Barnard College, an M.A. in Media Studies from the New School for Social Research, and a PhD in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. She lives in the Leimert Park area of Los Angeles, California.
