Marlon Oden

Marlon has six years of Military experience serving in the U.S. Army/ National Guard, spending time at Fort Knox Kentucky, Fort Lee Virginia, and some time in Honduras before his Honorable Discharge as a Spec-4.

He also was a Safety Team Member for Akron Public Schools from 2008-2013 where he assisted many youth with the daily challenges of navigating their way through an urban school environment.

Marlon has been an OHSAA Official for 11 years (Basketball & Football) and still officiates to this day. In addition, he was Deputy commissioner for Akron Parent Peewee football league from 2001-2007.

Marlon’s son was an original member of Alchemy, beginning in 6th grade until his college graduation. Marlon became a huge fan of Alchemy due to his recognizing the impact the process had on his son. Marlon initially started with Alchemy as a liaison between the schools, students and Alchemy.
